Clients describe me as being ‘straight-forward’ and ‘no-nonsense’. I take an eclectic approach to therapy, bringing curiosity to the therapy space and seeing you as the expert in your own life. I have a number of years of experience providing timely and meaningful interventions for people struggling with stress, depression, anxiety and trauma.
I use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness and existential and self compassion approaches. I spent a number of years teaching and facilitating Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy. I have formal training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing which can be immensely helpful in treating specific single incident traumas, phobias, anxiety and complex attachment based trauma. I am trained in Critical Incident Stress- Debriefing. |
I teach counselling at Fleming College in Peterborough, Ontario. I have niche expertise in understanding and helping those affected by narcissistic relationships and have provided training to other professionals about this. I enjoy being outside, running, kayaking, cross- country skiing, curling and boating. I play guitar and love to garden and cook.
