Psychotherapy and Clinical Supervision
Individual therapy: working with humanistic, systemic, cognitive behavioral and mindfulness approaches, through a therapy relationship to identify and treat thoughts, cognition, mood, or emotional regulation. Help with issues such as anxiety, depression, self esteem, career transition, educational problems, sleep troubles, stress, gender identity and transition, sexuality, grief, trauma, or anything that may be impairing an individual's judgement, insight, behavior, communication or social functioning. Typically 50 minute sessions, once per week, formal and informal assessment and monitoring of therapeutic progress and outcomes is available.
Relationship Therapy: working from an attachment lens, incorporating systemic and emotion focused theory, working with people in important relationships to improve and repair impaired communication, insight, behavior, coping, problem solving, relationship functioning. Typically 1.5 hour intake then 50 minute sessions weekly.
Clinical Supervision: In office or online, individually or in group, ongoing or ad hoc. Well trained in supervision and coming from a Rogerian approach with a teaching style to build skills and confidence and ensure ethics and self development. Group Psycho-education and Group therapy. From time to time educational workshops are provided as well as psychotherapy groups and clinical supervision groups, please inquire.
Workshops and Seminars: presentations include stress and coping, relationship health, body image related topics. Please inquire.
Services include counselling, psychotherapy, consultation (including parenting sessions), couples therapy, separation counselling, parent-teen communication, transition support, educational support, organizational support for managers, customer service evaluation and consultation, relationship and communication support in business, seminars for business relationship and productivity enhancement and more. Groups are available from time to time including anxiety support for elementary school children. Presentations on topics related to anxiety, stress management, diversity, communication and healthy eating are available.
